The Fix.Adopt.Save. initiative brings together seven local animal welfare groups, the Alliance for Companion Animals, to promote adoptions and fostering and increase access to spay/neuter services while raising awareness about the homeless animal situation here in the Valley. All working together to end pet homelessness through a variety of projects and services; assisting the animals within our shelters and in the community.
The Alliance for Companion Animals includes the Altered Tails Barnhart Clinic, the Animal Defense League of Arizona, the Arizona Animal Welfare League, the Arizona Humane Society, HALO Animal Rescue, Maricopa County Animal Care and Control and the Phoenix Animal Care Coalition 911.
The Fix.Adopt.Save. initiative is made possible by funding and in collaboration with Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust, PetSmart Charities and Arizona Community Foundation.
Since its inception in 2012, Fix.Adopt.Save. and its Alliance members have seen an increase in spay/neuter surgeries which has contributed to the decrease of intake at Alliance member shelters by 43%; more than 38,00 animals. Fix.Adopt.Save. continues to provide spay/neuter and wellness services to the pets of Maricopa County residents.

The Fix.Adopt.Save. initiative and collaboration efforts between all Alliance members provide the pets within Maricopa County shelters and rescue system a greater opportunity to find their furr-ever home! These collaborations are crucial in our efforts to save more lives.
Since 2012, Fix.Adopt.Save. has successfully decreased euthanasia rates by 86%, saving an additional 32,000+ animals!
