UPON ARRIVAL- PRIOR TO 10AM:

  • There will be one line, regardless of services sought.  This event is based on a First-come, First-serve process.

  • No saving spots, nor cutting in line will be allowed!

  • The line will begin outside the doors of the lower-level mall entrance (west side of mall). Signage will be visible.

    • If you enter from any other entrance- you will be re-directed to the line outside.

  • Staff and volunteers will be present to assist throughout the morning, keeping all attendees updated and reviewing rules and event information.

  • At approx. 9:45am- We will begin to move the line inside the mall: Staff will speak with attendees in line asking their reason for attending Pittie Palooza. At that time we will separate the line into sections based on needs; still honoring the first-come, first-serve process based on the purpose for visiting this amazing event :)

*Spay/Neuter Vouchers and vaccinations available while supplies last.

EVENT RULES:

  • All pets present at event must be friendly, in good health & vaccinated or attending to receive vaccinations.

    • *Please keep in mind that there will be hundreds of pets and people with lots of noise; therefore we ask that you please recognize your pet's behavior to know if this setting is suitable for them. Thank you

  • All dogs must be on a leash.

  • All cats must be in carriers; one per carrier.  No cats on leashes please

    • We understand many cats like their fellow canine buddies but please remember that all dogs may not feel the same way. A carrier will ensure safety for all. Thank you.

  • Please bring assistance with you if bringing multiple pets. There will be paperwork to fill out for each pet; handed out at the event. Please bring your ID

  • Cleaning supplies will be available for your use if your pet should have an accident.

    • Please be sure to pick-up after your pet (inside and outside of the mall). We are being provided this opportunity and space to allow our organizations to help the community; let's be respectful of the kindness from Metrocenter and all associated parties. Thank you.

  • Please come prepared as you may experience a wait in line for vaccination and microchip services. Please bring water for you and your pet(s). If needed, a lightweight chair that can be carried. Your patience and kindness is greatly appreciated.

    • Though the medical teams will work to process the line as quickly and safely as possible there will still be a wait due to the number of participants. This year we have additional medical stations to assist. Last year we assisted 385 pets with wellness/microchip services.

October is Pit bull awareness month and though we are happy to assist any breed (inlcuding kitties at this event) our focus is toward our Pittie Pals. Pit bull intake has decreased by 34% since 2012 (when FAS first began) and euthanasia of Pit bulls & Pit bull mixes has decreased by 90%; yet Pitties are still entering the shelters at an average of 785 per month! This is a statistic we want to continue decreasing. By providing vaccinations (preventing disease) and offering Free S/N services (a permanent solution to preventing accidental litters)- we hope to continue making a difference in the lives of this wonderful breed, our neighborhoods and acceptance of Pitties everywhere.

Pittie Palooza and all associated services (FAS Vouchers, vaccinations, microchips and adoptions) are not intended for use by rescue groups or for free-roaming/feral/stray cats, and will be provided to Maricopa County residents only. This event is intended to assist the residents of MC and their pets; providing assistance to help provide a healthier future for their pets.

We look forward to seeing you on Oct. 19th, 2019 and thank you for your support and compassion for your pets!
Our 6th Annual Pittie-Palooza and Services provided are made possible through generous grants by the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust and PetSmart Charities.
